  • My Personal Lazarus Experience

One day about 7-8 years ago I was in fellowship at a table with two sisters. We were in prayer over one, that she may recieve the gift of speaking in tongues. If memory serves me correct, I believe that two of us started praying in tongues. I am not sure of what happened next, but all I know is that my head started hitting the table. It was like a basketball...going up and down like three times. At the third time my head did not bounce back up, but remained on the table. I felt detached from my body, and I felt I lost all control. The only thing I could remember was breathing out..slowly until there was no more air. At the time my sister was trying to shake me awake...to no avail. She lifted up my hand, and then my entire arm, and let go, but it was like it fell to the ground (like a rock would fall).

I could hear the two sisters talking, but that was about it. I could not respond...whether in the natural...or in the "spirit" or whatever it was....

After a moment the "leading" sister called out and said "In the name of Jesus I commaded you to rise!" It was then that I felt something pick me up and breathe new life into me. It was sort of sticking your head out of the window of a fast moving car with your mouth opened.

I stood up and then I stated "I think I died!" I was very wobbly and couldn't really stand or walk, but I made my way outside to get some fresh air and try and snap back into it.

I don't know what happened that night...but I still believe that I "died" in someway...

So is there life after death? I am not totally sure, but that experience caused me to fully believe in the Lazarus pehenomenon...
