In my life
In my life I’ve known love and I’ve known pain
I’ve had the pleasure of no one, and yet a few
Time passes by so quickly when we are in unity
Yet lingers on when we are absent from each other
Tears of joy give way to tears of pain
In my life the broken heart takes forever to mend
I walk this road alone, with my heart so far from home
All I can do is think of you and the changes we’ve both been through
Separation always has it’s cost
Some go on to live another day
Still other’s die a bit more everyday
I’ve decided to live my life with this pain
Never to smile a real smile
Until the day I see your face again.
